Walking on the Waters

When you have faith you still need to “keep your eyes above the waves”.

When Peter let go of the side of the boat and strode out across the water in answer to his saviour’s call he was doing fine until he noticed the wind whipping up the huge waves all around him. (Matthew 14:22-33)

It’s not the scary stuff we are going through that causes us to stumble, it’s the word’s opinion of that stuff:

“No one can survive waves that big. ”

“No one can survive that.”

So on days when the news is bad, especially when all those around you despair, just keep your eyes above the waves and keep on walking. There is a trusted hand ahead to save you.

(Thank you Hillsong, for this inspiring song, I has pointed my eyes in the right direction on several occasions)
